Free styling with the nippers at Indikidual.

There’s something really lovely going on over at Indikidual. This new London based kids brand has some proper hearty character, with a personal vibe and smashing sense of style. Plus, the photography is beyond charming. In shops now.

Any chance we could the banana print pants for grown ups?

Sam Johnson’s good honest design.

In a world where children’s toys are often incredibly complicated and garish, it’s rare to find something that doesn’t make you want to dump it as soon as they’ve lost interest. Well that’s why we love Sam Johnson’s Dumper. It reminds me of that popular little wooden dog in the 70′s on wobbly wheels that you pulled along… definitely no batteries required, just just good robust toys that will last a little boys lifetime of bashing.

Ravensbourne grown Sam Johnson, who is probably most famous for his Net Chair & Stool, takes pleasure in not having a signature style, but there does seem to be a fun and earnest quality to his stuff. Also liking the Van Amburgh Stool and the Drum Spoons, for the everyday domestic rocker.

Boys and girls steal the show in Stella McCartney Kids

You can’t help but be utterly charmed by McCartney’s Kids range. So cool and bags of character that you surprisingly don’t always get from other designer clobber for children. The military jackets are probably a little pricey for wearing down the park, but would look great as page boy outfits, and the dusty pink girls dresses are lovely and soft.

Some fresh little nippers out there wearing American Apparel’s kids stuff. Loving the Sesame Street tshirts. Particularly Elmo. So damn cool.

Extreme multi-tasking with the Smart Kid

Smart Kid

Smart Kid

Living in London we’re always impressed by space savers or clever storage ideas. The “Smart Kid” by Andensen Furniture is genius…  cot, bed, storage, black board, desk… where does it stop! Lots of family planning in the air at the moment, so I can think of few people that would make good use of this… :-).

Mini range at Topshop

Mini range

Mini at Topshop is a small but perfectly formed range of childrens clothes for our winter babies. Love the tawny owl and reindeer prints with the dusty grey tutu. Something under the tree for Ella’s first Christmas. Gorgeous.
